Upgrading an old analog system
A lot of properties in Dubai still run analog camera systems fitted years ago. The picture on these is often good enough to see that something happened, but not good enough to see who did it, which defeats most of the point.
Upgrading does not always mean starting again. Existing cabling can sometimes be reused with compatible HD cameras and a new recorder. We test compatibility and cable condition before confirming the upgrade scope.
Adding cameras to an existing system
Adding cameras to a system that is working well is straightforward, as long as the recorder has spare channels and enough storage. If it does not, we may need to change the recorder, which we would tell you before starting.
Common reasons people add cameras: an extension or new gate has created a blind spot, an area has been converted, or a first install covered less ground than turned out to be needed.
Extending storage
If your system overwrites footage sooner than you need, the fix is usually more storage rather than a new system. This matters most for businesses where an incident may not come to light for weeks. We can work out how far back you need to be able to look and size the storage to match.
Moving a system to new premises
If you are moving home or relocating a business, an existing system may be reusable at the new property. Whether that makes sense depends on the age, condition, compatibility and new layout, which are checked before the move is approved.

Can I keep my existing cables?
Often, but not always. Existing coaxial cabling may support an HD upgrade if its condition and compatibility are suitable. We test it before confirming the scope.
Is it worth upgrading or should I replace everything?
It depends on the age and condition of what you have. If the cabling and layout are sound, upgrading usually makes sense. We will tell you which situation you are in.
Can I add just one or two cameras?
Yes, provided the recorder has spare channels and storage. We check that first.
Can you move my system to a new property?
Often yes. Whether it is worth doing depends on the age of the equipment and the new layout.
