Problems we get called out for
The most common one is a camera that has gone blurry or hazy. Usually that is a dirty or degraded lens, condensation inside the housing, or a camera that has simply reached the end of its life outdoors in the heat.
After that comes channels that have gone dead, where one or more cameras show nothing on the recorder. That can be a cable fault, a power issue or a failed camera, and finding out which is part of the job.
Then there are recorder problems. Hard drives fail, and often nobody notices until footage is needed and it is not there. Storage fills up and starts overwriting sooner than expected. Recorders lose their settings or stop responding.
The last common one is remote viewing that has stopped working, usually after an internet change, a router replacement or an app update.
Systems we work on
We can assess many common brands and system types, including older analog setups and modern HD or IP systems. Compatibility, available parts and the condition of the existing equipment determine what can be repaired or reused.
Repair or replace
Not everything is worth repairing. If a system is old, the picture quality is poor and parts are failing one after another, replacing it can cost less over time than repeated call-outs. We will tell you which situation you are in rather than doing a repair we know will not last.
Where a system is sound, repairs are usually straightforward and the existing cabling can often be reused, which keeps the cost down considerably compared to a full reinstall.
Preventive maintenance
Camera positions, lenses, recording status, storage and remote access can all change or fail over time. Preventive checks can be quoted where available, with the inspection scope, frequency and response terms stated in writing before the customer approves the arrangement.
This can be particularly useful for businesses that rely on recorded footage for operational, insurance or compliance reasons.
How to book a repair
Call or WhatsApp with a description of the problem. We will arrange a visit, diagnose the fault, and tell you what it needs and what it costs before doing the work.
Common questions
Do you repair systems you did not install?
We can assess many systems installed by another company. Repair options depend on compatibility, parts availability and equipment condition.
My footage was not recording when I needed it. Can you find out why?
We can assess the recorder, storage and channel settings to identify the likely cause. Recovery of footage that was never recorded or has already been overwritten may not be possible.
Can you upgrade my old analog system?
Yes. Moving from analog to HD is a common job, and the existing cable can often be reused, which keeps the cost down.
How quickly can you come out?
Attendance depends on availability, the location and the fault. Call or WhatsApp and we will confirm the earliest available time.
